Therapy
We experience life in relationship - with our loved ones, our body, our inner child, and our present self - and these relationships are where we heal. With a trauma-informed lens, collaborative philosophy, and creative strategies, I would love to support you as you cultivate radical self-acceptance and fulfilling relationships with yourself and others.
About Caroline
Caroline began her career in the entrepreneurship world, building programs and coaching founders through the early stages of starting their businesses. Supporting individuals through feelings like imposter syndrome, loneliness, and burnout, Caroline helped business owners reconnect to their values, communicate their needs, and manage overwhelming emotions. It was there she realized that her deepest calling was to dedicate her life to a career in mental health. So, she transitioned from the world of startups to University of Michigan School of Social Work where she will graduate this December with an MSW.
As the daughter and granddaughter of artists, Caroline has been creating art longer than she can remember. She has always found it a powerful way to find balance, reduce anxiety, and express deep sadness. In 2016, Caroline cofounded The Forge, an artist residency committed to collaboration, creative career development, and inclusive community. There she coached bourgeoning artists through their own expressive paths, as well as hosted classes and events aimed at building a safe community for creation, vulnerability, and a lot of laughter. More recently in her career as a Social Worker, Caroline more formally integrates art and psychotherapy, supporting her clients through creative ways of expressing emotions, needs, and traumas.
How it Works
Caroline is passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma, suffer from anxiety or depression, and experience disordered eating or body dissatisfaction. She is also committed to helping partners find fulfilling relationships through couples therapy. In addition to creative arts therapies, Caroline utilizes Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) or “Parts Work” to help clients cultivate curiosity, compassion, and acceptance toward their own inner world. She also uses elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as somatic strategies and mindfulness activities. Her approach is collaborative, trusting the client’s intuition and expertise in their own experience while facilitating deeper self-discovery and growth.
As a Lead Therapist at BLND Health, Caroline meets clients where they are and works with a collaborative team of psychologists, social workers, counselors, yoga instructors, creative writers, and more. BLND is a pay-as-you-go model, so we are not limited by the restrictions of insurance and can see clients anywhere, in whatever format works best for you.
