Funopticon

Created for Funopticon, an extended immersive weekend, this installation was an inter-dimensional myth library and allowed viewers to explore the event in other universes through sight, smell, touch, hear, and taste records. The attendees also collaborated on a shared myth on a central scroll. The installation inspired viewers to be present and immerse in the weekend with all their senses.

Healing Hut

Created for BLND Health, the Healing Hut represents the ups, downs, twists, and turns of the healing journey. Mostly made from found objects and expanding foam, the archway uses color, texture, and material to engage the viewer.

The hut was created for Yoga at the Big House, a 1,200-person annual event hosted by Citizen yoga and held on University of Michigan’s football field. Viewers were invited to interact with the installation, reflecting on their own healing journey and posting a mirrored sticker on part of the archway that most resonates with them. By the end, we enjoyed a communal reflection of our shared experience.

Enchanted Forest

The Enchanted Forest was a complete attic takeover made with mostly found objects, used art supplies, and a lot of hot glue. While it was designed for a private party, the installation stood for 6 months.

Parallel Theatre Bizarre - Quarantine Edition

As big fans of Theatre Bizarre, we were devastated to see it get cancelled during covid. So, for two years, we created our own. The first year, we took over three houses for a progressive immersive experience. After that smash success, we were granted access to an abandoned theatre in Detroit and were able to expand our scope for the following year.

Woodbridgerton

Woodbridgerton was inspired by the Woodbridge neighborhood in Detroit as well as the hit show Bridgerton. Our charge was to facilitate a spring party with a victorian twist, opening the season with playful frivolity.

We fabricated most elements from cardboard and paper and planned era-inspired games. I personally created busts from found objects, an enchanted tree bench from expanding foam and paper mache, and the "Love Bush,” a special species of flora that is easily pickable, and spreads love like pollen with its surprise love note in in the center.
